Guide to Optimizing a Site

 If you know even a little about search engine optimization, you’ve probably heard of On-page SEO .

Whether you want to create a website or optimize an existing one, in this guide I will explain what On Page ( On site ) SEO optimization is and what are the aspects that you absolutely must take into consideration in order to excel on Google .

On Page and Guide to Optimizing Off Page SEO

As I had already explained in my introductory page to SEO (Search Engine Optimization), there is a distinction in approach between the two strategies/terminologies.

  • On Page SEO ,  also known as  On Site SEO , is the essential starting point for optimizing a website for search engines and includes all the activities that are carried out on the site. These include: improving  site speed, architecture, URL, content,  etc.
  • Off Page SEO includes   all those actions aimed at  improving the ranking of a site  in  Google’s SERPs  through external activities such as  link building ,  digital PR   , etc. (The ranking is the classification of the results that Google presents on its pages, based on certain search queries, ordered by relevance and pertinence according to its algorithm)

A clarification : in most cases the there are several tools for this terminology On Site and On Page is used as a synonym. Even if I will not make any distinctions in the article, I personally prefer to associate the concept of On Site with the more technical aspects that affect the website in general (code cleaning, site structure, URL etc. etc.). I associate the term On page more with the optimization of the single page from the point of view of content,
