weekend? Ours was pretty great and included lots of family time and relaxation, which was wonderful. Here’s my recap!
Friday
Friday night was perfect. Fabio made us some delicious steak tostadas dataset for dinner (which went unpictured – whoops) and then we watched House of Cards from the comfort of the couch.
I originally thought we would
That’s ok though – I wound up falling asleep on the couch while Fabio switched over to watching sports, which was actually kind of nice. Eventually I moved to the bed around 11:30. Yep, just another wild Friday night at our place! Haha!
Saturday
I woke up refreshed and ready to go on Saturday morning after a great night’s sleep. I was also very excited because Saturday was the first day I was allowed to wear shoes! This also means it was my first day being able to walk Jack, since walking him in the boot wouldn’t have been very stable.
I know this might sound silly since
“walking the dog” is often seen as a chore, but I was so, so happy to fax database be outside walking Jack. I’ve always liked walking Jack and often listen to podcasts or call my parents during this time. Walking Jack has always been part of my “me” time, and I truly missed doing it. Even though it was freezing cold and still a bit snowy out, it was really nice to get outside with him.
After I came back inside, I completed this 30 minute low-intensity cardio ac motor(copper winding in workout. It actually wound up being great, and I broke a sweat for the first time in literally two months (the pilates and yoga workouts I’ve been doing might make my muscles burn, but they don’t get me sweaty). Of course I couldn’t do all of the moves 100% because of my foot, but with a few modifications I was in pretty good shape. Woohoo!
After my workout it was time for breakfast! I decided to whip up a batch of these banana oat Greek yogurt muffins, which I’ve made three times now. This is truly a great recipe, and the muffins always turn out delicious!
