The first part of the book series
At the beginning of Outlander, 16-year-old Beatrice learns that she is a Divergent, who does not fit neatly into any of the city’s well-defined categories. At a selection event, modest Beatrice unexpectedly many traditional recipes decides to join a group of daring daredevils . The daredevils’ training is rigorous and violent, and eventually Tris finds herself drawn into a bloody power struggle . The book begins the Outlander trilogy, which continues with Rebel and Loyal.
I started reading the book
With a lot of prejudice, but surprisingly this was a fascinating read . No wonder the series has been make into films. The world of the book is quite unbelievable, as I expect. 16-year-olds are divide into different groups according to b2c fax their personality traits,
Which they must stay in for the rest of their lives. It reminded me of the Sorting Hat from Harry Potter!
On the other hand, one of the themes of the book is that people cannot be categorize like that . No one ‘s personality is really make up of just one trait , and no one can be modest or brave every moment of every day .
I liked Tris as the main character
She doesn’t feel like she belongs among the modest, but life with the daring doesn’t feel quite right either. Tris has to find both courage and her own way in a world where she doesn’t fit into any given mold. She has to question the entire world she knows. The author captures the feeling of being an outsider and the need to find people with whom she can be herself.
